Position Overview
The Head of Supply Chain will oversee and manage end-to-end supply chain operations, focusing on distribution of automotive components and vehicles.
This includes procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management within the automotive industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, ensuring consistent and high-quality supply of automotive components.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive improvement initiatives to meet quality and supply chain goals.
- Oversee procurement activities to ensure a reliable supply of parts and materials.
- Implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory and costs.
- Manage logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing, to ensure efficient distribution of automotive components and vehicles.
- Utilize data analysis and market insights to forecast demand for automotive products.
- Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain management within the automotive industry; truck or buses business preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiations and process optimization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required.
